Emily Bahr

Emily joined the GTT Board of Directors in September 2011 as chair of the Programs Committee and served as Vice President prior to her appointment as president in October 2013. She served as President until October 2016. She is now the Development Committee Chair.

Emily is a state and federal criminal defense and civil rights attorney. She is a member of the board of directors of the Criminal Defense Bar Association of San Diego and a member of the San Diego Civil Rights Working Group.

James McElroy

Jim McElroy joined Think Dignity's board in April 2016.

Jim has been practicing law in San Diego County for over 30 years, specializing in civil litigation and civil rights.

Julia Yoo

In the past twelve years, Julia has been actively involved in nonprofit and charitable activities outside the practice of law. She has sat on numerous Boards of Directors of various educational and criminal justice organizations. She has served on the Board of Directors of Rescu Academy, a school for at-risk children; Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition; and Think Dignity. Julia currently sits on the Board of Directors of Alliance San Diego and Wellesley College San Diego Club, where she serves as the Vice President.

Eumi Lee

Eumi K. Lee is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law at University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Professor Lee teaches Roles & Ethics in Practice, a professional responsibility course that examines ethical and
institutional issues within the profession. In addition, she teaches criminal law seminars and the Individual Representation Clinic, which
serves low-income and indigent clients in housing, benefits, and employment cases.

Jennifer Lai

Jennifer Lai-Peterson currently works at Advancement Project’s National Office in Washington, D.C. She serves as a Senior Attorney in both the Power and Democracy Program and the Immigrant Justice Project. A litigator and former union and community organizer, she previously served as a Staff Attorney with Advancement Project and the National Immigration Law Center in New Orleans, where she worked extensively on racial justice issues in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Prior to rejoining Advancement Project in 2015, Ms.

Alreen Haeggquist

Alreen Haeggquist is the co-founder and managing partner of Haeggquist & Eck, LLP, where she is dedicated to representing employees who have been wrongfully terminated from their jobs, suffered violations of employment contracts or otherwise experienced discrimination or harassment in the workplace.

Cecilia Brennan

Ms. Brennan received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (“UCLA”), and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.  Ms. Brennan has an extensive background in public interest law, community economic development, and nonprofit management. Prior to pursuing her J.D., Ms. Brennan co-founded two Los Angeles-based nonprofit organizations focused on educational equity and community development. After admission to the state Bar, Ms. Brennan represented individual and public sector clients in consumer issues, municipal law, education law, and litigation matters.

Laurie Black

Laurie Black, president and CEO of LJ Black Consulting and president of RS Lawrence Development as well as past president of the Downtown San Diego Partnership, is well known as a keen and prolific producer of new and innovative ideas. She is a proactive manager who has the experience and confidence to lead.  She brings to a project the maturity, courage, integrity, good judgment and critical insight necessary for the development of a focused mission and strategic plan.

Rebecca Rojas

In 2011, Rebecca joined the Think Dignity as a member and sustainer. Since becoming a member, Rebecca has joined the legal committee that participates and oversees the Legal Referral and Advocacy Clinics.
