The League has two homes in Bankers Hill/Hillcrest area, offering transitional housing for 34 mentally ill, homeless and/or abused women. Referral to the housing program comes from psychiatric hospitals, crisis homes and social service agencies throughout the County. The women have three meals prepared daily by our staff. Each home is staffed 24-hours a day.
Uptown Faith provides multiple services including homeless hospice care, housing opportunities, employment assistantce, longterm recovery programs and outreach to homeless youth
St. Vincent de Paul Village saves lives, inspires lives and changes the lives of our neighbors in need in the largest one-stop center in the region offering a comprehensive continuum of housing and services with no wrong door of entry or exit. The Village is located on a 3.5-block campus in the East Village neighborhood of downtown San Diego and serves families with children, single women, and single men including chronically homeless individuals, veterans and people living with addiction and/or mental illness.
Each program offered by the Alpha Project focuses on assisting participants to attain their own optimal level of independence. For most of our program participants, successful completion of our programs will mean complete and permanent independence through education, employment, sobriety, and stability. For those clients with special needs, our programs maximize their own potential and supports as much independence as possible. All of our clients regardless of their history are encouraged, supported, and assisted in reaching their maximum potential with dignity and respect.
SDRM Offers residential recovery programs, emergency shelter for women and children, recuperative care and transitional housing. It offers hunger relief and holiday meals, an outpatient therapy clinic, supportive services for program alumni, and educational/awareness programs
The YWCA offers several programs including Becky's House, a safe haven for domestic violence victims, Passages, a transitional housing program for single homeless women and Cortez Hill Family Center; a transitional housing and supportive service program that has the ability to house families together.
St. Vincent de Paul Village is the cornerstone of San Diego’s fight to prevent and end homelessness one life at a time. As a one-stop center to address all of the rehabilitative needs of the homeless, St. Vincent de Paul offers an array of housing and supportive services.
Second Chance creates opportunities for people to transform their own lives through programs that provide job readiness and life skills training, job placement, behavioral health and prisoner re-entry services, relapse prevention and sober-living housing for adults and youth in need. We foster behavioral changes that promote personal responsibility, healthy relationships and positive contributions to society.
PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) provides supportive programs including street outreach, interim housing, supportive services and rapid re-housing.
