Volunteers are Always Welcome

We rely heavily on our broad and diverse base of volunteers to ensure that we can continue to provide our unique programs for those living on the streets. We’d be honored to have you join us and are sure we can find a volunteer opportunity that is well matched to your skills, serves our mission, and of course, is ultimately fulfilling for you.

Volunteer for our Legal Advocacy & Referral Clinics

Attorneys and local law students are encouraged to volunteer with our legal advocacy and referral clinics. Legal clinic volunteers are required to commit one hour per month to a legal clinic for a three-month minimum period, and also attend two trainings per year. We are also always in need of attorneys to present on legal issues relevant to those living on the streets.

Volunteer for our Fresh Start Showers

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with our Fresh Start Showers program, in which we take our mobile shower unit to different locations all around San Diego County. There are an array of volunteer roles and responsibilities, from running the Host table to assisting as a Shower Attendant. We rely our volunteers to ensure that the showers run smoothly so that we can focus on helping our homeless neighbors access basic hygiene and sanitation with dignity. Shower volunteers are required to complete a short training prior to assisting with shower operations.
